The Science Museum of Long Island (SMLI) is sponsoring an exciting expedition for teens and adults.
 
Dig dinosaur fossils from 65 million years ago in Wyoming.
Learn excavation techniques from experts.
Prepare fossils for conservation and restoration.
Visit the Badlands of South Dakota.
Visit the Mammoth Site where giant mammoths were trapped in a sinkhole during the Pleistocene Epoch 10,000 years ago.
Visit the Black Hills Institute, a major laboratory for the conservation and restoration for giant dinosaurs.
Climb Bear Butte, a Lakota ceremonial mountain.
See the Indian Chief Crazy Horse Memorial.
Stay at the Nemo Guest Ranch.
   
  The expedition is open to adults and teens and will be led by our museum staff Thomas Hall and Ronni Graf.

   

Cost: $1995.  Includes air travel from NYC, lodging, all meals, entrance fee, and transportation.
