The Science Museum of Long Island and the Marine Resources Development Foundation have collaborated to develop this unique experience.

Using scuba off Key Largo, Florida, divers will have a chance to:

Explore coral reefs
Learn excavation techniques from experts.
Study seagrass communities
Delve into mangrove habitats
View sunken shipwrecks
Stay in the Jules’ Undersea Lodge
Enter Aquarius, an undersea research facility and NASA training center

At the Jules’ Undersea Lodge, you will enjoy 24 hours in the world’s only undersea habitat and hotel.  Inside the lodge is a working research lab where you can study how pressure affects the performance of marine organisms, learn to fly a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV), as well as study deep sea life and shipwrecks.  You will then have the unique experience to dive and enter “Aquarius,” the undersea habitat used to train astronauts.  This is a rare opportunity available through the Science Museum of Long Island.

Participants must be dive certified.

Cost:  $2,500 includes airfare from New York, all transfers, lodging, meals, scuba gear, boats instruction and guides.

A deposit of $1,000 is due upon registration.  Balance due 90 days before departure.  Space limited to 14 participants.
