SCIENCE BIRTHDAY PARTY FAQ
What is the maximum number of children/adults we can invite?
Our space can accommodate a maximum of 25 children, (including the birthday child). Due to the limitations of our space, we ask that no more than 10 adults stay for the duration of the party. We ask that families provide us with the anticipated headcount so our educators can properly prepare the science activity.
Does the birthday child count towards the total number of children?
Yes, your child will be included when determining the final headcount of children.
What about younger children/siblings?
Children are only counted if they are actively participating in the science activity portion of the party.
Do you provide food for the adults?
SMLI determines how much pizza to order based on the child headcount provided by the family. Additional pies for the adults can be requested, with a $22 per pie fee.
Can I bring in additional food?
Families are allowed to bring in additional food (sandwiches/wraps, chips, veggie platters, cookies, soda (no alcohol allowed).
Can I have an outside caterer for the Basic Package?
We do not allow outside catering at our traditional birthday parties. Outside caterers can only be used for private event rentals, which are booked separately (contact info@smli.org to learn more).
Can we bring decorations?
Yes, families are allowed to bring in simple decorations. Please note: NO BALLOONS ALLOWED.
How early can we arrive?
Families are welcome to arrive up to 30 minutes before their scheduled party, and may park in our staff lot behind the main building.
