Celebrate your child's next birthday at the Science Museum of Long Island!
We have a variety of fun hand-on activities for an unforgettable birthday experience!
Designed for children ages 4 and up.
Because of the Covid-19 risks, all parties will be limited to 15 children.
Masks are required inside the SMLI buildings.

Option 1:
$425 for up to 12 children
Includes: Pizza, juice, plates, napkins, utensils,
& table cloths. *Additional fee to provide food for parents.
Option 2:
$375 for up to 12 children
Food not included: Host is responsible for food,
drinks, table cloths & serving utensils.

Saturday/Sunday:
10:00 am - 11:30 am (option 2 only)
12:30 pm- 2:00pm
3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
*Parents are responsible for providing cake and candles

Electric Circuits
Make your birthday a shocking one by exploring the world of electricity. Learn about electric circuits as we experiment with batteries, wires, and bulbs. Observe the power of static electricity with our huge Van Der Graaf generator!
Slime Factory
Make Your Next Party an ooey gooey one. Learn the science of slime and how to make the very best concoctions. Mix and match ingredients to create your own custom slime to take home!
Liquid Nitrogen
Have the "coolest" birthday party ever! Learn how temperature affects solids, liquids, and gasses and what happens when things get really cold. Learn the science behind liquid nitrogen as we instantly freeze objects and perform many other experiments

Paleontology
What was the earth like 50 million years ago? Find out how scientists use fossils to learn how dinos and other prehistoric animals lived. Visit our paleo lab to help us unearth some prehistoric bones.
Insects and Spiders
Are you afraid of spiders? If not, our creepy crawly friends would make a great addition to any birthday party. Learn the difference between insects and spiders and meet some of our arthropod friends.
