WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY LIKE?
Campers are grouped based on the last grade they have completed as of June 2020 and will be grouped with a Science Teacher that leads the days' activities along with counselors and assistant counselors to help out. Each grade level is assigned to a set classroom each week (and all summer) where they can store items for the week which may include bug spray, sunscreen, towels, change of clothes, etc. While no 2 days are alike at SMLI summer camp, each day campers will experience multiple hands on science activities that tie into the theme of the week. Activities take place in the mornings and afternoons with a lunch and recess period in between. These science activities provide an experience that is stimulating, engaging, and fun. They take place in many areas of our facility both indoors and out. All 36 acres of our preserve is our classroom and we will explore it all!
