Campers are organized into groups based on registration levels and grade the camper has completed by June 2019

Some grade levels may have children from 2 different grade levels combined"  example:  Kindergarten and 1st

Note:  Children in the nursery level must be at least 4 years of age and toilet trained

            Copy of birth certificate required for children in the nursery program

Session 1: July 1st – 5th (no camp on July 4)

Science, Science Everywhere

Do you love all things science? Then this week is for you! Come explore the science that is happening around us every day!

Session 2: July 8th – 12th

Think it, build it, do it!

It’s time to build! In this hands-on week, we’ll learn about how things are built, create our own structures, and put them to the test!

Session 3: July 15th -19th

Scales and Tails! 

Come meet our animal friends at the museum as we learn about what makes them special! Then, take a walk on the wild side as we go into our beautiful preserve to see our local plants and animals in action!

Session 4: July 22nd – 26th

Down by the Bay

Explore our beachfront on Manhasset Bay with nets and shovels and see the amazing diversity of animals that call it home! Get sandy and wet as you catch fish, dig up fiddler crabs and clams in our mud flats, and discover what hides near our shores.

Session 5: July 29th – August 2nd

Defying Gravity    

Venture into the great unknown in this space-filled week of adventure! Blast off to the edge of the solar system as we learn about rockets and create our own to launch. Head into StarLab, our in-house planetarium, to tour our galaxy as we discuss the planets, stars, and constellation myths! 

Session 6: August 5th – 9th

Wilderness Explorers! 

Become an outdoor explorer as you go trekking through our 36-acre preserve.  See how butter, candles, and soap can be made at home! Discover how to thrive in the wilderness as we identify edible plants, build fires, and create shelters!

Session 7: August 12th – 16th

Land Before Time

Explore Earth’s amazing past by becoming a paleontologist, archaeologist, and geologist all in one week! Go digging for real dinosaur bones in our Paleontology Lab and learn about what causes earthquakes and volcanic eruptions!

Session 8: August 19th – 23rd

Bang! Pop! Fizz!
How do you make stuff fizzle, change color, or blow up? How do magnets work? What exactly is electricity?  We’ll answer these questions and more as we explore some of the weirder aspects of science!
