3rd Annual Pumpkin Smash!

Don’t trash your pumpkins! Smash them at the Science Museum of Long Island! Guest are invited to bring their old Halloween pumpkins to the science museum of long island and smash them into pieces to be composted! Try out all of our different pumpkin smashing stations including our pumpkin slingshot, pumpkin drop-kill, pumpkin bat smashing station, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin smashing corn hole and much, much more!  At the end of the event, all pumpkins will be composted and all proceeds raised at the event will go towards the Chris Holmes Memorial Scholarship & Conservation Fund. Providing Summer Camp Scholarships to local children and helping us support our various environmental projects. 

Featuring live music by Potato Phoenix, Barrier Brewing, co and Sid's Food Truck and SMUSHT!

All proceeds to go to the Chris Holmes Memorial Scholarship & Conservation Fund!

When: Sunday, November 2nd, 2025 from 12pm to 5pm

Cost: $20 (adult) $10 (18 and under) per person. 3 Under are Free.

JR Scientist and existing family membership: $5 discount per person

Steam + Members: $10 discount per person

TICKETS PURCHASED AT RHW DOOR ARE AN ADDITIONAL $5. ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES AT MIDNIGHT THE NIGHT BEFORE.
