About

STEM Saturdays: Design, tinker and create in our STEM workshops for the whole family. Explore the engineering process, construct your contraptions, then take them home! This week: the Egg Drop Challenge!  Can your family work together to protect a raw egg from a drop of over 20 feet?! Find out in this fan-favorite challenge that's fun for all ages! With our variety of materials and an overview of the physics at work, you'll have everything you need to creatively tackle this perilous predicament. Will your ideas save the fragile egg from a scrambled demise? Time to put them to the test!  We'll explore: The Engineering Process: Discover how the simple "design, create, test, repeat" process produces consistent results, and what it can teach us in other areas of science (and life!).  Physics: Find out how gravity, drag, and Newton's laws of motion can be harnessed to better protect your egg. We'll go into all of the ins-and-outs of the physics behind the challenge and offer some helpful tips along the way!  Eggs: The early home for many baby animals has some incredible parts! Learn their functions and how shapes can vary across the animal kingdom to better protect what's inside.

$20 for per person.  Members recieve a 10% discount on all registrations.  All ages welcome. Group size limited to 25 people. Children under 7 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
