About
- Students will examine air: how clean air is provided by trees, how air can affect the environment, how human activity impacts air quality, and how air can be harnessed as energy. Participants will engage in hands-on application of wind power and other uses of air.
- Next, we'll explore water: by investigating the water sources found on the preserve, students will explore what is happening on the water's edge, how water can shape landscapes, and how our behavior can impact its quality and quantity. Participants will experiment with how water moves and the power of water, and experience how nature provides and protects our water.
- Finally, we will again venture into the woods to investigate soil: how it comes to be, what happens inside it, and how it can help filter pollutants. Participants will closely examine soil to unravel its mystery and resilience, and learn how to understand its story.
