Join the Science Museum of Long Island for our annual membership meeting featuring a special presentation on the stewardship and restoration efforts of the 36-acre Leeds Pond Preserve at the Science Museum of Long Island.
Presentation by FRANK PICCININNI of Spadefoot Design and Construction. Informed by his field research in ecology, Frank founded Spadefoot Design and Construction, LLC. Through Spadefoot, habitat restoration services are offered to private, public, and commercial clients. Spadefoot specializes in invasive species identification and removal, ecological restoration, construction of green stormwater infrastructure (e.g., bioswales and rain gardens), and adaptive management.

Admission is free for members, while non-members will be charged a nominal fee of $5 per person.
The presentation will be followed by our Great Pumpkin Smash annual fall festival featuring live music by American Indie Band Daisy the Great! As a special thank you, we're offering a complimentary free drink token to the Bubbly Bar for all members who attend the membership meeting and purchase tickets to the Great Pumpkin Smash. The token must be redeemed at the Great Pumpkin Smash Fall Festival. Only members who purchase tickets to the event will qualify.
