Join us on a walk as we discover the ecology of our very own Manhasset Bay! Dive into learning about the different layers of the ocean as well as what it takes to survive in the intertidal zone. Team up with your family as we hunt for all the different organisms that inhabit our shores.

About

This family workshop will expore:

  • Oceanography: Learn about the different layers of the ocean, some creatures that live there, and the adaptations required to survive. 
  • Ecology: See how different plants and animals have evolved to successfully interact with their environment. 
  • Marine Biology: Become an expert in species identification as we investigate all the different flora and fauna that inhabit this area. Learn about univalves and bivalves, search for crabs, and meet our local osprey!
